When I first saw this commercial and heard the Cure, it was instant resonance. I loved the cure back in the 80’s and the fond memories got me. This campaign is a great example of multiple executions of a concept. If you look a the other commercials, they all use different picture songs. Some are old, some are new, and you can bet they are all targeted at a specific audience-young old, gay, straight, arty banker, sports fiend. Music is so powerful in creating emotion. Sometimes you can get a real knee-jerk response out of people. All these commercials are artfully done and have great music. I find them all interesting, and the Cure really got to me.
