I like this ad because it is utilizing a concept that is well known, but I have never before seen it done with cars: the Godfather horse-head-in-bed trick. Instead of waking up to see blood all over his sheets and pajamas, he sees black motor. The more he sees, the more concerned he is until he whips off the covers to see the front of an Audi in his bed. He screams the famous scream. This is definitely a transitional ad because it is updating this old message, replacing a prized horse with a luxury car. It’s making a comparison that has not been made yet, which will help it stick in peoples’ minds.
