A Reward

20 04 2009

From Nicole Holman;

In class on Thursday we discussed various ways that commercials condition individuals. This tide commercial is an example of operant conditioning. It gives people who buy tide t-shirts and tide, the reward of feeling good about themselves by helping someone in need. This commercial focuses on victims who tell their story of loss and how having clean clothing helps them feel better. By creating a reward system, which is helping disaster victims, tide has created a very influential chimerical that makes people want to buy their products.
